Abstract

Allama Muhammad Iqbal's prose or poetry contains the message of the Qur'an and Hadith. The vision he gave to the Islamic nation on religious, moral, social, political and economic principles in the light of the Qur'an and Hadith provides a way for the development of the nation. For this reason, Iqbal is known as "حکیم الامت" and "شاعر مشرق". In Allama Iqbal's thought, every aspect of movement and action is visible. He invited the Nation of Islam that the identity and survival of the Ummah is not possible without Imamat and leadership. The main objective of this research is to highlight the importance of Imamat and leadership in the light of Iqbal's thoughts in the current era with reference to the decline of the Muslim Ummah and to determine the future course of action. To examine what qualities are necessary for Imamat and leadership. Qualitative methods were used to awaken the Muslim Ummah and make them realize their position and status and duty of Imamat and leadership. Data for this study was collected through comprehensive research and survey of Iqbal's work through both print and online sources, mainly research articles, literary journals and books. The analysis of the study is that Iqbal gives a message to the youth of the Ummah that the reason for the decline of the Muslim Ummah today is that there is no leader of the Islamic Nation. They want to see the youth as شاہین   and مرد مومن, who will move forward as leaders and end the decline of the Ummah and give the Ummah new life, new energy and development.
